From excisors to advocates:

Many excisors did not only put down their knives, but also became advocates and agents of change, trying to sensitize those who are still excisers, as well as the communities . The role of excisors can also be described as a business venture , given that those who practice it are paid to do so. Hence, new means were created by the IAC and its National Committees to ensure that former excisors can find new jobs or be involved in projects through which they will be able to support themselves financially, which is also known as Alternative employment opportunity(AEO).
