The IAC was one of the organizations that participated in the drafting of the “Protocol to the African Charter on Human and Peoples’ Rights on the Rights of Women in Africa”, which is more commonly known as the “Maputo Protocol”.
This Protocol is an important one as it touches and covers many aspects of harmful traditional practices including and FGM , Child marriage.
